Kindness

Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.
— Lao Tzu

Hello Friends,

I want to spread some kindness around, so this week’s blog will discuss simple ways to distribute kindness to others and yourself. Kindness is being considerate, concerned, friendly, and generous. Kindness can convey respect and can improve how others view you. Kindness can quickly be passed forward and can be as simple as holding a door open for someone or sharing your gratitude for people you love. Expressing kindness to others will also affect you. Random acts of kindness can make you feel like the hero in various situations. It will make you feel good and hopefully lead to you wanting to seek more of that energy.

The best way to express kindness to others is to be kind to yourself. We often quickly appreciate or acknowledge others’ achievements, yet we tend to overlook our own.  Overlooking areas of our accomplishments is the complete opposite of showing personal kindness. Take some time to recognize your achievements and acknowledge them. A great way to keep track of this success is to write it down in a journal, and this tool can be used during times of reflection for personal encouragement. Don’t forget to create a reward system for your accomplishments, and this will keep a strong sense of motivation to continue the gratitude within. Another way to express kindness is letting go of being over critical and holding judgments over yourself, including speaking badly about your character. Instead, show kindness by using gentle words and forgiving yourself. Expressing kindness to yourself can solidify self-respect, boosting your courage and strength.

Compliments are the simplest way to be kind and cost nothing, so why not use your words for empowerment? Compliments are an expression of praise or admiration and should be direct, honest, and sincere. Take some time to write an email or text to someone, and it could be as simple as “Thinking of you” or “Thanks for being a great friend.” This simple gesture can make a person’s day. Don’t forget to compliment yourself as well. Doing this will boost your confidence and create more self-love.

Donating to the community is a great way to spread kindness. What is excellent about contributing is that it can be done in various forms, such as donating time, money, or other resources, and all donations are welcome big or small. Not only are you helping those in need, but you will also receive feelings of empowerment, happiness, and fulfillment. I encourage and challenge you to find a cause that inspires you and experience it yourself!

Spreading kindness doesn’t have to take much; it does help not only others but also helps us. These random acts of kindness can bring a strong sense of respect, courage, and strength, which will help you improve.

If you enjoyed this blog, I would be very grateful if you would subscribe below and help spread the message to your friends, family, or anyone you have on social media!

Many blessings, and remember, you are a miracle!
